Children Church Groups Dewitt MI
On Sunday September 8th, we will have our Promotion Sunday. All children and students will move up to their 2019/2020 school grade for their classes. This may mean a new classroom for some children, so as a reminder our Family Ministry classes look like this:
TimberTown: Birth-PreK (Both Services)
KidsWorld: Kindergarten-3rd Grade (Both Services)
Merge: 4th-5th Grade (Both Services)
Ignite: 6th-8th Grade (9:30am Service & Wednesday Nights)
Catalyst: 9th-12th Grade (9:30am Service & Wednesday Nights)
We believe parents are the number one influence in a child’s life. We also believe that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. Everything we do is designed as a launching point for what happens at home.
We create kid-targeted environments where a biblical message is taught in ways that are clear, dynamic and age-appropriate. Kids belong to a small group community where they are known, loved and can safely explore their questions about God, the Bible and life.
We equip parents with tools and training to lead their children spiritually.
We provide shared family experiences where parents come see first-hand what their children are learning.
Each weekend your children can be a part of an exciting and active environment filled with songs, games and lovable characters that teach Godly values at an age-appropriate level. Our weekend services meet at the same time as adult services, and are designed for all children of all ages. So while you are experiencing the creative, life-changing worship of Northpointe, your children are experiencing it as well.
Where to go?
First time guests, stop at one of the Children’s Ministry Welcome Desk located just inside the doors of the Family Ministry wing (Entrance A). Our greeters will provide you with all the information to make your child’s first experience a positive one. They will also help you find their age appropriate classroom.
Safety is a priority. Each room is staffed with screened volunteers. Policies have been created and communicated so that your child will be cared for on a week-to-week basis as well as in emergency situations.
Check-in and Check-out
Parents will be given an ID number that matches the child’s number. Children will only be released to an authorized adult with the matching number tag. For your first weekend with us, your child and family will receive a ID number upon registration. In following weekends, you will be able to use our self-check-in kiosks.
