Serve in the Community

Community Ministry Dewitt MI

Community Impact Events

At Northpointe, we are passionate about serving. Serving each other and serving the community, in the name of Christ. But, we are also passionate about doing life together! We firmly believe that life is better together, so we feel that by joining the act of serving with the idea of “together” in a group is pretty awesome! We have many opportunities throughout the year for you to grab your Life Group, friends or family and serve together. In addition, we are partnering with area non-profit organizations that are all about serving the community, so that we can match up groups and individuals with an area of serving that utilizes their gifts and passions best.

Save the Date! Northpointe has joined forces with the Lansing Visitors Bureau, Christian Emphasis Committee for the YMCA, Christians of Greater Lansing and the Catholic Diocese of Lansing to host the  “Faith in the 517 Foodpack” where we, as a community, will pack 100,000 meals for mid-Michigan youth! Being held on Saturday November 2, 2019 at the Lansing Center in Lansing. After the foodpack, we will have a FREE performance by Christian Illusionists David Laflin and Family! This event will be an opportunity for faith, fellowship and fun! Be on the lookout for more details and registration info to follow in early September! Donations towards the cost of meals can be made here. ($1.00 covers the price of three meals!)

Compassion Teams

Compassion Teams are led by individuals who are moved by a passion to meet the needs of those they serve. These people have started something on their own or partnered with an organization that shares their passion.

Sawdust Santas are serving the Laingsburg, Perry, Shaftsburg, Moon Lake, Owosso and Ashley communities.

Experience: None Required
Goal: 350 toys and gifts!

Help area kids have a joyous Christmas! Learn, have fun and spend time with some of the best people around.  I hope to see a lot of familiar faces again this year.  For others that haven’t volunteered before, because you felt you didn’t have woodworking skills; you don’t need them! A willing heart and hands is all that is required.  We need people to sand, paint, sew, decorate items, package, etc….  Also, if you want to learn woodworking and how to run machinery, we will teach you. It is a ton of fun and very rewarding. Come try it out!
