Serve in the community

Community Ministry Dewitt MI

Community Impact Events

At Northpointe, we are passionate about serving. Serving each other and serving the community, in the name of Christ. But, we are also passionate about doing life together! We firmly believe that life is better together, so we feel that by joining the act of serving with the idea of “together” in a group is pretty awesome! We have many opportunities throughout the year for you to grab your Life Group, friends or family and serve together. In addition, we are partnering with area non-profit organizations that are all about serving the community, so that we can match up groups and individuals with an area of serving that utilizes their gifts and passions best.

Opportunities to serve the community...

  • From Redeemer Food Pantry in DeWitt:

To meet the food needs in Clinton County we will be opening the pantry extra days and hours and serving families with a full weeks’ worth of food. There are 1000+ kids that rely on free breakfast and free lunch from school that are being impacted. You can help by donating non-perishable food items, including kid friendly snack items. The food pantry will remain open and God will provide! Together we will serve those that need it during this time.

Donations can be dropped off next week Monday – Thursday from 8:30am – 4:30pm in the church lobby, door number 4 (metal canopy entrance) will be the only door unlocked

  • From Beacon of Hope in St. Johns:

Our biggest need will be for families whose children will not be in school and also for dairy items as we will not be able to shop in the Greater Lansing Food Bank cooler as usual.  So here’s a list of needed items:

Cereal, peanut butter and jelly, macaroni & cheese, pasta and pasta sauce, juice, fruit cups or canned fruit, and sliced bread.  Also, string, sliced, or block cheese, yogurt (kid-friendly), milk, apples, oranges, butter/margarine.

Donations can be dropped off M-Th 8am-4:30pm

Maplewood Women’s Shelter – led by Chuck Wilkins

This team serves on the first Friday of each month from 5:30 PM-7:00PM serving meals to women and their children staying at the shelter.  This a great opportunity to be an encourager to the women staying at the shelter, as well as meeting some other people from Northpointe. For more information joining this team, stop by the Connect Kiosk or contact Chuck Wilkins by email.
