Serve in the Community

Community Ministry Dewitt MI

Community Impact Events

At Northpointe, we are passionate about serving. Serving each other and serving the community, in the name of Christ. But, we are also passionate about doing life together! We firmly believe that life is better together, so we feel that by joining the act of serving with the idea of “together” in a group is pretty awesome! We have many opportunities throughout the year for you to grab your Life Group, friends or family and serve together. In addition, we are partnering with area non-profit organizations that are all about serving the community, so that we can match up groups and individuals with an area of serving that utilizes their gifts and passions best.

Opportunities to serve the community

Maplewood Women’s Shelter – led by Chuck Wilkins

This team serves on the first Friday of each month from 5:30 PM-7:00PM serving meals to women and their children staying at the shelter.  This a great opportunity to be an encourager to the women staying at the shelter, as well as meeting some other people from Northpointe. For more information joining this team, stop by the Connect Kiosk or contact Chuck Wilkins by email.

Are you interested in growing your own fresh produce?  Come join the Northpointe Community Church Community Garden Project.  We can provide you with a 10 foot by 10 foot garden plot, seeds and plants, garden tools, and the necessary assistance and expertise to be successful! The GARDEN will be open to community residents to participate alongside our people, building relationship around a common interest.

Sign-up is easy.  There is a short registration form, you must agree to follow the garden rules, and pay a $5 garden fee per plot for garden improvements.  For further information, please contact Jon or Linda Dahl at (517) 648-4043 or by email.
